Des Woods
Chair-Elect
Des Woods feels Gophertastic serving as this year's Chair-Elect! Des currently serves as a Residence Director for the University of Minnesota, where he is also pursuing a PhD in Higher Education with an Emphasis in Queer Indigenous Studies. Des moved to the Twin Cities in 2024 and has fallen in love with the state since. In Des' free time he volunteers in community engagement and social justice initiatives such as working with the East Bank Neighborhood Association, the ACPA Coalition on Gender and Sexual Identities, and Twin Cities Pride.
Lilly Garrett
Marketing Chair
Lilly (she/her) is an Area Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. Lilly enjoys supporting students as they transition into the next aspect of their lives. In her free time Lilly enjoys playing video games, supporting the Minnesota Frost, and seeing what adventures are around the area. Lilly also enjoys hanging out with her cats Stormy and Shadow!
LaPerish "LP" Barnes
Chair
LP (he/him) is currently one of the Assistant Directors of Residence Life at UW-River Falls. LP is originally from the southside of Chicago and has a passion for supporting all students through a lens of DEI and love. LP strives to ensure that each student he comes across does not feel like a number, but like a cherished individual that is vastly more capable than they give themselves credit for. In his free time, LP engages in music production, poetry, working out, the occasional video game, and a never-ending journey to find the best cup of coffee in Minnesota.
Codie Ishcomer
Operations Chair
Codie currently serves as the Communications and Outreach Manager at the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. Codie has a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Northeastern State University. Codie obtained her Masters in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Missouri State University. Codie's favorite hobbies are reading and playing video games! Fun fact Codie has two corgis named Rose and Thorn!
Chandler Robles
Networking Chair
Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Chandler attended Undergrad at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA. After graduating Chandler worked at Coe for 1 year as a Success Coach and 2.5 years as the Assistant Director of Campus Life. Chandler started as an Area Coordinator at UWRF in August 2024. In his free time Chandler enjoys spending time in nature, relaxing with his two cats Ash and Olive, rooting for the Seattle Reign and Sounders, exploring local coffee shops, going to concerts, events, experiences and making new friends along the way!
